The Turkish Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday that it has made arrangements to evacuate Turkish citizens via air and sea. In light of concerns that the security situation in Lebanon may worsen, the ministry is also collaborating with approximately 20 other countries to help evacuate their nationals through Turkey.
This coordinated effort aims to ensure the safety of foreign citizens in the region.
The Netherlands is similarly working to repatriate its citizens from Lebanon, according to Dutch news agency ANP. Meanwhile, Belgium has issued an urgent warning for its citizens to leave Lebanon “as soon as possible.”
These developments come amidst tensions in the region, with the Israeli military claiming it has detected the launch of “several projectiles” from Lebanon, which landed in open areas of central Israel.
