The All Progressives Congress Chieftain, Tobi Aruwajoye popularly known as Son of Grace has condemned the recent destruction of Political billboard “Adidasdatiwa movement campaign billboard” in Owo. The Owo born political chieftain of the All Progressives Congress says such act of violence should be shun ahead of the Nov 16, 2024 governorship election and that that of the Chairmanship election coming up around February 2025.
This was disclosed in a statement issued to Peoplesmind on Tuesday, rest of the statement reads;
It is with deep concern and sadness that I condemn the recent destruction of the Aiyedatiwa/Adelami billboard in front of Imade College, Owo. Such acts of violence and destruction have no place in our community or in our political discourse. It is disheartening that some individuals, driven by selfish motives, would resort to such behaviour, forgetting the peace of our community.
We must remember that our focus should be on unity, not division. The upcoming election is an opportunity for us to demonstrate our commitment to progress, peace, and the welfare of Owo and Ondo State. I encourage all members of APC to work together in harmony, setting aside personal ambitions for the good of the party and the people we serve.
An attack on one is an attack on all. Violence and destruction will only weaken our cause. Instead, let us promote peace, engage in meaningful dialogue, and work diligently to ensure the success of the Aiyedatiwa/Adelami campaign. A house divided against itself cannot stand, and it is only through unity that we can achieve victory.
I call on all leaders and members of our community to join me in condemning this destructive behavior and in working towards a peaceful, prosperous future for all.
God bless Owo, God bless Ondo State, and may peace reign in our hearts and actions. He added.
