A Swiss aerospace company has unveiled the SiriusJet, the world’s first hydrogen-powered luxury VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) aircraft.
Designed for cost-efficiency and environmental impact, the SiriusJet can reportedly be fully refueled for just $500 while offering an impressive range of 1,150 miles (1,850 km). The jet combines near-silent operation, producing less than 60 dB of noise — equivalent to a dishwasher at 100 meters — making it far quieter than traditional helicopters and ideal for operations near communities.
Engineered for both safety and comfort, the SiriusJet features an Emergency Parachute System that deploys automatically in critical situations, providing an added layer of passenger reassurance.
With a high-altitude capability of 30,000 feet and a cruise speed of 323 mph (520 km/h), the aircraft merges the versatility of helicopter-like vertical take-offs with the speed and range of conventional jets.
Sirius Aviation plans to release two configurations in 2025: the Sirius Business Jet, a three-seater for private travel, and the Sirius Millennium Jet, a commercial five-seater with a range of 650 miles
