President Bola Tinubu has assured the leaders of Ogoniland that his administration will prioritize peace, justice, and sustainable development in the region.
During a meeting at the State House in Abuja, President Tinubu urged the Ogoni people to set aside historical grievances and collaborate for a better future. He emphasized the importance of mutual trust and inclusivity, directing the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, to lead negotiations aimed at resolving the regionās challenges. Tinubu also commended the Ogoni delegation for embracing dialogue and pledged support for the resumption of oil production in Ogoniland.
Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State expressed gratitude for the President’s support, stressing the commitment to move forward with consultations and resuming oil operations.
