This is a stunning logarithmic illustration of the observable universe, offering a visual journey through the cosmos.
Our solar system sits at the center, followed by the planets, the Kuiper belt, the Milky Way, distant galaxies, the Cosmic Web, and finally, the edge marked by the Big Bang’s plasma.
This breathtaking visualization compresses the vastness of the universe into a single image, presenting a unique perspective on the cosmos. It was created by artist Pablo Carlos Budassi.
Budassi shared that the idea for this logarithmic view emerged while he was drawing hexaflexagons for his son’s birthday. Inspired by the geometric forms, he began experimenting with cosmic and solar system visuals.
Using a combination of NASA images and his own textures, Budassi assembled the dazzling image with Photoshop, creating a widely appreciated artistic representation of one of the most complex concepts known to humanity.
