The Adamawa State Police Command has recovered a stolen Toyota RAV4 and arrested two suspects linked to the theft.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the police spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje, the recovery and arrests followed an investigation initiated after a complaint from Mr. Aliyu Umar of Wuro Hausa, Yola South Local Government Area, who reported his vehicle, with registration number RSH 548 BB, missing on December 23, 2024.
Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, tasked a team of detectives led by SP Habib Muhammed Musa, the Divisional Police Officer of Yola, to handle the case. Their efforts led to the apprehension of the suspects and the retrieval of the stolen car.
The suspects, identified as 25-year-old Yusuf Mohammed Isah of Wuro Hausa, Yola South, and 30-year-old Faisal Mahmud of Kolere Ward, Mubi North, are currently in custody, aiding further investigations aimed at recovering additional items or accomplices.
The police assured the public of their commitment to justice, emphasizing that the suspects would face prosecution upon the conclusion of the investigation.
