-Three suspects, Tolani Jeremiah (31), Akande Suru (20), and Edwin Jatto (24), were arrested for hacking into the WhatsApp account of DCP Bode Ojajuni of Ogun State’s CID and defrauding his contacts of over N1.1 million.
-The suspects used the hacked account to solicit financial help from DCP Ojajuniās family and friends, directing them to transfer funds to a Moniepoint account under the name Ichioma Ojo.
-Six mobile phones, including a Redmi Android phone, and several devices were seized from the suspects, who confessed to being part of a larger internet fraud syndicate.
-Police also arrested members of a child trafficking ring led by “Mama Faith,” involving ThankGod Taiwo (35), Patience Chikieze (54), and Oluyinka Folake (43), who were involved in abductions and illegal adoptions.
-Investigations led to the rescue of two abducted children, including a seven-year-old girl, Mercy Akande, and a three-year-old boy, Mohees Daniel, who had been sold by the traffickers.
