Ogun State police have arrested a 25-year-old suspected cult leader, Abiodun John, with a firearm during a stop-and-search operation on the Akute/Olambe road.
The suspect, driving a Venza car, was apprehended on January 9, 2025, around 3:30 PM after a tip-off from the public. Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered two locally-made pistols and three live cartridges. While John was arrested, another suspect remains on the run. The case is under investigation, and it will soon be transferred to the SCID ABK for further inquiries.
