Staff members of the Lagos State Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development (MWID) took part in the inaugural “Walk for Life” wellness event, aimed at promoting health and well-being within the organization.
In her remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Lolade Aina, emphasized the importance of fitness exercises, noting that a healthy workforce is crucial to productivity and dedication.
Speaking at the event’s start, Aina highlighted the value of maintaining both physical and mental health to improve service delivery within the ministry.
“Our health is the foundation of our success. This exercise not only boosts our physical fitness but also fosters stronger relationships among our team,” she said.
The “Walk for Life” initiative is set to be held bi-weekly, aligning with MWID’s mission to cultivate a dynamic, high-performing workforce. The event saw active participation from staff at all levels, demonstrating the ministry’s commitment to promoting well-being and teamwork.
