Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho has suggested that he would like to coach a national team before he retires from management.
Mourinho was sacked by AS Roma in January 2024 and eventually joined Fenerbahce.
The Portuguese manager has coached clubs like Chelsea, Porto, Real Madrid, Tottenham, Manchester United, Inter Milan, and Roma in the past.
He has also won several league titles and the UEFA Champions League in his managerial career so far.
“I’ve never watched Roma play again, but I’ve watched Inter,” Mourinho told Corriere dello Sport.
“I want to manage a European Championship or a World Cup and unite a country around a team, as I have already done many times with clubs. I want to do it for football and what this sport represents. It will be incredible.”
