Many a time, our society tends to tag some of us rude whenever we pass comments on certain issues, probably because our words are not in support of them or that of their leaders. I am not surprised to see the member, House of Representatives, representing Owo/Ose federal constituency display his flagrant disregard and disrespect for his constituents, as this is not his first, nor fourth time of doing such.
Even before his re-election in 2023, I tried all I could to bring our peoples’ consciousness to the real image of Timehin Adelegbe but for reasons best known to everyone as an individual, majority of us still went for him and gave him the second term mandate. Now, we are all facing it.
His ego must be massaged, his arrogance must be accommodated and his boots licked. Anybody who dares to go against him openly, would either be beaten up, as he did to students of Okeluse, his hometown, or be bashed with unprintable words, like the ones said to the Lord Bishop of Owo Anglican Diocese.
It is indeed crazy that we have a member of reps who is still not literate enough to accept that he’s not unquestionable and every constituent reserves the right to either task him to do better or even express their total displeasure in every of his affairs.
A rep member who does not care about public opinions about him, a rep member who sees himself as God that can do whatever he likes, whenever he wants. To make it more interesting is the fact that the same Lord Bishop he abused openly and called a liar, is the same that has headed several congregations where our “Field Marshal” would attend to seek political favors and relevance after church services.
Is it safe to say he finds it so easy to call the lord bishop such unprintable words because his political benefactor, who was a chancellor of the church until his death, is no longer around? It is well!
Anyways, I am glad we are now coming to the realization of the kind of person we have at the helm of our affairs.
