Guardiola and Wife End 30-Year Relationship
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and his wife, Cristina Serra, have amicably ended their 30-year relationship, according to a report by SPORT on Monday.
The couple, who met in 1994 and married in 2014 near Barcelona, reportedly grew apart due to Guardiola’s career demands, which involved living in different countries for extended periods.
Guardiola remains in Manchester, while Serra, a Brazilian journalist, has been living in Barcelona full-time with their youngest daughter, Valentina, 17. The couple also shares two other children, Maria, 24, and Marius, 22.
The separation, described as “cordial, stable, and friendly,” was finalized in December, with only close family and friends initially informed. Those close to the couple have been asked not to disclose further details.
Serra moved back to Barcelona in 2019 to work at Serra Claret, a family-owned fashion company, while Guardiola recently extended his contract with Manchester City until 2027.
