Fresh curfew imposed as violence erupts between Ilobu, Ifon communities in Osun

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has imposed a 7pm to 7am curfew in the Ilobu and Ifon communities after a violent clash between the two towns.

Tensions escalated when gunmen allegedly from one community attacked the other, causing displacement and panic among residents. Both communities blame each other for the violence.

In response, the state government has deployed security forces and formed a committee to mediate a peaceful resolution, warning that those involved in further violence will face legal consequences.
