EFCC Launches Manhunt For Employee Who Fled After Stealing Over $30,000 From Kaduna Exhibit Room

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is searching for an officer, identified as Polycarp, who allegedly stole over $30,000, gold bars worth over N1 billion, and other valuable exhibits from the exhibit office at the Kaduna Zonal office.

The theft was discovered during an audit ordered by the Kaduna Zonal Director after similar incidents in the Lagos office. Polycarp fled the scene after the audit order, turning off his phone and leaving without explanation.

The EFCC had previously detained 10 officers in Lagos over stolen operational items, and a wider investigation is ongoing. A manhunt has been launched to apprehend the officer, who has gone into hiding.
