Donald Trump leaned on some of his famous friends to help influence Hollywood in an announcement shared Thursday on Truth Social.
The President-elect tapped three major celebrities to help him influence Hollywood in an unexpected social media announcement.
βIt is my honor to announce Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone, to be Special Ambassadors to a great but very troubled place, Hollywood, California,β Trump wrote. βThey will serve as Special Envoys to me for the purpose of bringing Hollywood, which has lost much business over the last four years to Foreign Countries, BACKβBIGGER, BETTER, AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE!β
Trump went on to describe what the role will entail for the famous actors.
βThese three very talented people will be my eyes and ears, and I will get done what they suggest,β he said.
βIt will again be, like The United States of America itself, The Golden Age of Hollywood!β Trump wrote as he closed off his post.
Voight has been a longtime Trump supporter and received the National Medal of Arts from the then-President in 2019.
During the 2024 campaign, Stallone called Trump βthe second George Washingtonβ and proudly introduced the President-elect during a post-election gala.
Gibson has supported Trump in the past and jabbed at Vice President Harrisβs intelligence during the 2024 campaign, saying that βsheβs got the IQ of a fence post.β (RELATED: Melania Trump Reportedly Inks $40 Million Deal With Amazon)
Trump had a largely strained relationship with Hollywood stars during his first term in office. He was widely ridiculed and mocked during award shows and comedic skits and has been quick to fire off his own attacks by taking aim at the low ratings of the shows that donβt lean in his favor.
