Igbokwe tells opposition leaders like Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar to stop dreaming of the presidency, asserting that President Tinubu will rule until 2031, urging political focus on nation-building.
As the 2027 general elections approach, Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has advised aspiring presidential candidates to abandon their ambitions.
This development arises amid rumors that Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election, is joining forces with Atiku Abubakar from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to unseat President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming election.
In a post on his official Facebook page, Igbokwe cautioned those considering presidential ambitions to reconsider, asserting that Tinubu would continue as Nigeria’s president until 2031.
Igbokwe believes that the president requires a second term to “set the records straight.”
He stated, “If a presidential hopeful is dreaming of winning the 2027 election, I advise them to abandon that notion until 2031.”
PBAT is set to stay in a position of authority until 2031. He requires eight years to make the necessary changes and establish clarity.
