President-elect Donald Trump has vowed to enforce strict policies against transgender rights starting on the first day of his presidency. Speaking at the AmericaFest conference for young conservatives in Phoenix, Arizona, on Sunday, December 22, Trump declared his intention to “stop the transgender lunacy” in America.
“There will only be male and female in America,” Trump stated, emphasizing plans to sign executive orders addressing various LGBTQ issues. He outlined his goals, which include banning transgender individuals from the military and schools, ending gender-affirming care for minors, and removing transgender discussions from elementary and secondary schools.
Trump also reiterated his stance on sports, vowing to “keep men out of women’s sports” by making it the official policy of the U.S. government to recognize only two genders, male and female.
This statement comes as the Republican Party, set to control both chambers of Congress and the White House, continues to promote anti-LGBTQ policies. Critics argue that these measures target vulnerable groups and roll back progress on human rights, while Trump’s supporters see them as a step toward restoring traditional values.
