The Chief Imam of Lekki Central Mosque, Lagos, Ridhwan Jamiu, has urged President Bola Tinubu to embody the essence of his name, Ahmed, by fulfilling the expectations of Nigerians.
Imam Jamiu emphasized that the name Ahmed, associated with the Prophet Muhammad, signifies one who performs commendable deeds, and expressed hope that this quality will be evident in the President’s current actions.
During the Jumat prayer attended by the President, who was accompanied by the Muslim community, the Imam delivered a sermon encouraging gratitude during prosperous times and patience in adversity, while highlighting the importance of unwavering faith.
He offered prayers for the President’s success in guiding Nigeria towards peace and prosperity, assuring him of the Muslim Ummah’s continued support.
In a statement from the President’s Special Adviser on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the Imam reiterated confidence in the President’s capabilities and urged him to remain accountable to the people and responsible in his leadership, reminding him of the trust placed in him by Allah.
