Femi Gbajabiamila breaks his silence on Lagos governorship ambitions, responding to critics and setting the record straight.
Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, has dismissed speculation regarding his potential candidacy for the governorship of Lagos State.
He emphasized that his current responsibilities as CoS occupy his full attention, leaving no room for thoughts of pursuing the governorship.
Gbajabiamila attributed such rumors to adversaries seeking to undermine his position. This statement was made during a gathering of the Surulere All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.
He noted that while figures like Lagos State Speaker Mudashiru Obasa and Seyi Tinubu, the president’s son, have been associated with the governorship race, he remains focused on his role.
Gbajabiamila recounted his political journey, highlighting the misconceptions about his career trajectory and asserting that it is premature to discuss his aspirations for the governorship, as he is fully engaged in his current duties.
