Shettima Jauro Muhammad has assumed office as the 29th Commissioner of Police in Nasarawa State, succeeding AIG Shehu Umar Nadada, who was recently promoted to Assistant Inspector General of Police.

CP Muhammad hails from Mubi North Local Government Area, Adamawa State, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical and Health Education from the University of Maiduguri.

Joining the Nigeria Police Force in May 1992 as a Cadet ASP, Muhammad has served in numerous capacities, including:
– Acting Commissioner of Police in Nasarawa State.
– Deputy Commissioner of Police at the State CID in Lafia.
– Deputy Commissioner of Operations in Zone 8 Lokoja and Gombe State Command.
