Coach Fonseca highlights Samuel Chukwueze’s absence as a pivotal moment in AC Milan’s stalemate with Roma.
AC Milan’s beleaguered manager, Paulo Fonseca, stated that Samuel Chukwueze’s injury played a significant role in his team’s inability to secure a victory against AS Roma in the Serie A match on Sunday.
Chukwueze, who had been included in the starting lineup, delivered a commendable performance during the tightly contested game.
Unfortunately, he had to leave the field just two minutes into the second half due to injury.
Fonseca noted that the absence of the 25-year-old winger disrupted the team’s strategy. He remarked, “In the first half, we created several chances to score.
Very fair attitude from the players. But with Chukwueze’s exit, we lost a lot and took a lot of risks. We deserved to win, but we missed many chances.”
