Vice-chairman of the Senate Committee on Communications, Trade and Investment, Distinguished Senator Ajagunla Olubiyi Fadeyi, inba landmark empowerment program held at the WOCDIF Centre, distributed N100 million cash palliatives and empowerment tools across the 116 wards within the district. The initiative, which benefited over 3,000 individuals, was a demonstration of the Senator’s commitment to economic development and poverty alleviation in Osun Central.
At the event, beneficiaries received diverse empowerment tools, including tricycles, two lion industrial sewing machines, motorbikes, generators, farm tools, hair dryers, refrigerators, fertilizers and seedlings.
These beneficiaries of the N100 million fund donation include party ward executives, local government executives, state party officials under the leadership of the State Chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi and also to all local government candidates for the upcoming February 25 council elections.
The ceremony was further marked by the commissioning of critical infrastructure projects, including road networks, powered boreholes, street lights and the launch of Massey Ferguson tractors, distribution of fertilizers and transformers. Other initiatives such as the Ajagunla Market Money Initiative, Ajagunla Food Subsidy Programme and other empowerment schemes were also unveiled.
The event was graced by the Executive Governor of Osun State represented by the Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Prince Kola Adewusi; Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Olumide Egbedun, members of the Osun State House of Assembly, Commissioners, Special Advisers and government officials.
Also present was the Royal fathers of the day, Ataoja of Osogboland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji. Other royal fathers include the Oloyan of Oyan, Oba Kelani Adekeye; Oluresi of Iresi, Oba Sikiru Adeseun; Afaji of Faaji, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi; Allie of Ilie, Oba Oladapo Olagunoye Siyanbola; Olufon of Ifon, Oba Peter Ipadeola Ilufemiloye Akinyooye; Oloba of Oba-Ile, Oba Joseph Oluwadare Agunbiade; Oloba of Oba Oke, Alaagba of Àgbà , Alasaaba of Asaba; Alasi of Asi, Oba Isaac Olasunkanmi Oyewale; Oloyan of Oyan, Oba Kelani Adekeye; Oluresi of Iresi, Oba Sikiru Adeseun; Afaji of Faaji, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi; Alaagba of Aagba, Oba Rufus Ogunwole and other royal fathers across Osun Central.
