The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) faces challenges as several state chapters withdraw from the planned December 1 strike, citing agreements with their governments.
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC)’s planned nationwide strike on December 1 may falter as chapters in Imo, Oyo, Sokoto, Akwa Ibom, and Katsina states have pulled out.
These chapters cited agreements with their state governments to implement the N70,000 minimum wage. Despite these withdrawals, the NLC national leadership remains resolute, mobilizing unions in states yet to implement the pay structure, such as Kaduna, Nasarawa, Zamfara, and the FCT.
