The National Association of Akure Students (NAAS) has elected Adeyemi festus, student of Federal University of Oye-Ekiti (Fuoye) as it’s new National President, today in Akure, the state capital.
The election which was held at the Ulefunta Cultural hall was attended by Akure students across the country, stakeholders and independent observers.
A total of 28 delegates from 28 institutions were ratified to vote in the election.
According to the outgoing President, Oni Stephwn, the election was free and fair. He encouraged the new set of executives to further project the image of the association.
Announcing the result of the election, the electoral Chairman, noted that the election process is very transparent.
Adeyemi Festus was declared as the new National President
Olusegun Ajayi emerged as the General Secretary.
Other elected officials include; Afe Adeniyi folashade as Vice President, omotehinse Samuel as Public Relations Officer, Falana Mary Modupe as Financial Secretary.
Alabi opeoluwa as Director of Socials, fayehun Sarah as welfare director, abidakun ayomide victor as treasurer
