In a significant ceremony held earlier today, His Royal Highness, Lamido Adamawa Alh Dr Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha PhD CFR, conferred turbans upon ten prominent individuals within the Fombina Emirate. The event saw the appointment of five new District Heads and five title holders.
I represented the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, at the ceremony and other distinguished members of the Adamawa State Council of Chiefs, including Alh Mustapha Aminu (Galadima Adamawa), Alh Aminu Abdulkadir Mbamba (Wali Adamawa), and Alh Mustapha Muhammadu Barkindo (Kaura Adamawa), among others.
The newly appointed District Heads are:
Alh Aliyu Muhammad Alam (Ditera)
Alh Salihu Isa Falama (Mboi)
Alh Suleiman Yahya Njidda (Uba)
Alh Abubakar Yusuf (Hildi)
Alh Adamu Suleiman (Gaya)
The following individuals were also honoured with new titles:
Mr Kuru Danlami Yaku Dah (Sarkin Jukun Kwararrafa Adamawa)
Alh Yusuf Muhammed Bello (Wakili Shanu Adamawa)
Alh Babangida Ibrahim (Sarki Baka Adamawa)
Alh Umaru Abubakar (Sarki Kasuwa Adamawa)
Alh Muhammadu Gidado Mahmud (Sarki Pawa Adamawa)
In his address, Lamido Adamawa urged the newly appointed officials to serve their communities with justice, fairness, and unity.
Speaking on behalf of the honorees, Alh Salihu Isa Falama, the new District Head of Mboi, expressed deep gratitude to Lamido Adamawa for this esteemed recognition. He pledged their commitment to serving their people and the state diligently.
The ceremony concluded with prayers for the well-being and long life of Lamido Adamawa and the continued progress of the Fombina Emirate.
