Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has forecasted that her upcoming film, ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa,’ will generate N5 billion upon its release in cinemas this December.
In a widely circulated video featuring some of the film’s cast, Akindele conveyed her confidence in the film’s financial success, stating, “We are making N5 billion this year.”
Should the film reach this anticipated revenue, it would surpass the record established by Akindele’s previous work, ‘A Tribe Called Judah,’ which was the first Nigerian film to earn over one billion naira.
