Mikel Arteta provides clarity on Bukayo Saka’s injury status and recovery timeline ahead of Arsenal’s upcoming fixtures.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has announced that winger Bukayo Saka will be unavailable for approximately two months due to injury.
This update came after Arsenal’s narrow 1-0 victory over Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Friday.
Consequently, Saka is expected to be out of action until at least March, following a surgical procedure on his hamstring.
The England international sustained a right hamstring tear during Arsenal’s recent 5-1 triumph over Crystal Palace.
In his remarks to the media after the match against Ipswich, Arteta indicated, “Bukayo Saka will be out for many, many weeks… probably more than 2 months.
He underwent surgery. Now it depends… how the scar tissue starts to heal, the mobility of that.”
