Ese Akoko which share a ward with Afin Akoko in Constituency 2 of Akoko North West, has majority of her citizens as members of All Progressive Congress (APC). This is enough to bring succour and dividends of democracy in aspect of infrastructure and good job for her citizens. But their active participation has not brought anything good from the Jerusalem of APC due to bad and incompetency of our leader, a person of Hon. Rasheed Badmus,the present commissioner for culture and tourism.
His appointment has not brought any good things to the two communities, his constituency and the local government at large. It can be recalled that the current minister of interior, Hon. Bunmi Tunji Ojo was a house of representative member then, that represented Akoko North used his good office to facilitate construction of : Okeagbe,Afin,Ese,Irun and Ogbagi roads. This was approved on the 16th of April, 2019. Hon. Rasheed Badmus, embarked on his devilish and unprogressive act by conniving with Ondo State ministry of work to stop the construction and made false approval by the state government. Today, people of Oyinmo and general hospital at Ikare are enjoying our lost privilege.
During the second term of the then president, Muhammadu Buhari campaign, this same man carted away with party money worth 15m. With this act, Hon. Rasheed Badmus did not embarrassed himself alone but the entire Ese/Afin ward 9. Today, he is enjoying his third term commissioner without an iota of anything he facilitates to his Local Government which is as a result of incompetence.
In just concluded selection of councilors and chairmen, Hon. Rasheed Badmus collected 500,000.00(Five hundred thousand) from Femi Oke which is one of the contestants for the position of councilor under our great party, All Progressive Congress (APC) and promised him ticket for the position in return for the money collected. The greatest dismay of Ese people is that he gave the councilorship ticket to Kolade Joseph who is not a member of APC. The said Kolade Joseph, who claims to be a member of APC still worked against APC in just concluded governorship election. This has really caused lot of uproar in the community. He did this alone without consulting party leaders of his ward not even his party chairman is aware of this ugly and inhumane act.
Today, our community is lagging behind because the appointed person, Hon. Rasheed Badmus, the current commissioner for culture and tourism is not fit enough to fight for our right. The person that doesn’t no his right can’t fight for another person’s right.
As a concern citizen of Ese Akoko, I want to specially appeal to His Excellency, the Government of Ondo State, Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa, The Hon. Minister of interior Hon. Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, our local government party Chairman Hon. Kehinde Obanla Ajapaara and other leaders that we don’t want appointment for incompetent person from our ward(Ese/Afin ward 9). This is affecting us since the birth of APC. Upon all his atrocities, he is still reverend as a party leader. My question is this, is there no punishment for immoral act in APC? Why will thief and incompetent person still have lot of control over the party affairs in the Local Government?
We will not stop our physical and online protect till we achieved justice.
