Following his endless philanthropic activities and provision of succour to Nigerians, Architect Chief Christian Asaga Nwali, PhD, has been conferred with another chieftaincy title of Ebubedike 1 of Unweka Ancient Kingdom in Ikwo Local Government Area (LGA) of Ebonyi state.
The title was conferred by traditional rulers on the owner of establishments like Cirenes Hotels in Kpiri-Kpiri, Abakaliki, Exclusive Serene Hotel and Suites in New Haven, Enugu and Exclusive Serene Hotel and Suites in Wuye, Abuja, C.Sagas Luxury Homes Ltd on Sunday, during the Unweka Day celebration by Unweka General Assembly (UGA).
Unweka is made up of three communities: Ekpelu, Eka-Awoke and Ekpaomaka.
Recall that the hardworking hotelier has previously been conferred with chieftaincy titles as Odozie Obodo 1 of Ameka Ikwo, Uzochukwu Wara 1 of Ekpelu Kingdom in Ikwo LGA of Ebonyi state and Ide Jiulo 1 of Izzi land.
Arc. Chief Christian Asaga Nwali, Ph.D, the CEO/MD of C-Sagas Group of Companies Limited, hails from Ameka in Ekpelu community, Ikwo LGA of Ebonyi State. He is a visionary leader, renowned philanthropist, exceptional entrepreneur, hospitality and tourism expert and a construction guru.
He holds a Master’s degree and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Architecture from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka and an honorary Doctorate Degree (Ph.D) in Entrepreneurship and Strategic International Business Management from the prestigious American-European University.
In his early forties, Chief Asaga Christian has demonstrated exceptional leadership ability through building a conglomerate of over 2,000 employees.
He has trained and mentored numerous young professionals in hospitality and building industries.
He has contributed to urban planning and infrastructural development in many states across Nigeria through his construction company, C-Sagas Projects Limited.
He has enhanced vacation experience for tourists by building magnificent and eco-friendly hotels across Nigeria.
Chief Asaga’s generosity has impacted the lives of people through donation of transformers and gadgets for rural electrification to various communities, building and donating a townhall to Ameka Ikwo women and also the construction of a 2-storey building for Redeemed Christian Church of God and communities.
He has donated over 50 cars to staff and NGOs, including building and donating befitting homes for senior staff. He has enrolled many youth into skill acquisition schemes and empowered them to be self-reliable thereafter.
Apart from building and donating an edifice to Deeper Life Bible Church, he has built market structures for some communities and also established a scholarship scheme for secondary and tertiary institution students.
Speaking with journalists at the event, the Secretary of Unweka General Assembly (UGA), Prof. Kenneth Nwekpa, said the conferment of the chieftaincy title on Asaga is significant as he is an extraordinary young billionaire and visionary leader, who transforms dreams into reality.
He said: “The Unweka Day ceremony, held on Sunday, was a joyous event that brought together a host of distinguished dignitaries for our annual celebration. This observance of Unweka Day has truly become a cherished tradition. We were privileged to host several esteemed guests, including the Ebonyi State Governor, His Excellency Rt Hon Builder Francis Ogbonnaya Nwifuru, former Ebonyi State Governor, His Excellency Chief Martin Elechi, Rt Hon Moses Ije Odunwa, Chief Barr Okeagu Ogada, the chairman of the occasion Chief Dr. Samuel Nte Egwu, Chief Livinus Ilanga, Honorable Joseph Orogwu, and many other noteworthy attendees.

Leading the avalanche of commendations, former minister of Culture and Tourism, Chief Franklin Ogbuewu, hailed Chief Christian Asaga Nwali, describing him as a young achiever dedicated to the task of uplifting Ebonyians and Nigerians from poverty.
Similarly, the traditional ruler of Ekpaomaka community, HRH, Eze Nwigboji Nwokwa, who is the head of all traditional rulers in Ikwo LGA, said Chief Christian Asaga Nwali merits the chieftaincy title of Ebubedike 1 of Unweka Ancient Kingdom as he is a notable philanthropist who has the habit of empowering his workers and the downtrodden.
On his part, Prof. Fidelis Okpata commended the Chairman of C.Sagas Group of Companies on his latest chieftaincy title as Ebubedike 1 of Unweka Ancient Kingdom, pointing out the popular hotelier has awarded scholarships to many Nigerians.
