Assistant Inspector General of Police Ahmed Ammani Malumfashi has assumed duty as the new head of Zone I Command, covering Kano and Jigawa.
He has pledged to ensure the safety and security of lives and properties in the region.
Malumfashi urged the public to cooperate with the Police and provide useful information to help combat crime and criminality.
Malumfashi, a native of Malumfashi LGA in Katsina State, has had a distinguished career in the Nigeria Police Force, spanning over three decades.
He was commissioned as an Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1992 and has since served in various capacities, both locally and globally.
The new AIG holds a degree in Hausa/IRS from Bayero University Kano, a postgraduate certificate in Corruption Studies from KHU in Hong Kong, and a Master’s degree in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.
