A student in India made a flying drone that can carry passengers

Medansh Trivedi, a senior at Scindia School, Gwalior, has built a single-seater drone capable of flying humans, a project he began five years ago during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Inspired by a teacher’s class on aero models, Medansh developed a passion for aviation and, with the support of his parents, turned his vision into reality. The drone can currently fly for about six minutes.

Looking ahead, Medansh aims to design drones capable of carrying multiple passengers and flying for longer durations. Already recognized with several awards, he hopes his creation will attract funding to support further research and advancements.
