16 selected teams will know their fate as the draw at the On-Boarding ceremony for the 2024 Waziri’s Cup will hold on Tuesday (today) 10th, December, 2024 at SMABis Sports Arena, Fate, Ilorin, Kwara state at 3pm.
The tournament was organized by Kwara Youths to celebrate the 62nd birthday of former Senate president, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, the Waziri of Ilorin (CON)
According to the member of Local Organizing Committee, Engr. Miss Olaiya Abisola K. revealed that the 5 Aside football tournament will see all the participating teams competing for a sum of #500,000 as the Grand Prize for the winners and other consolation prizes.
Over 58 teams registered but 16 teams were selected for a week football tournament.
The tournament will commence from Wednesday 11th to Thursday 19th, December, 2024 at the selected venues comprises of Fate, Ogidi and Adewole.
The selected team who will be competing for the coveted trophy and grand prize are : Unity FA , Hollark Int’l FC, Dohz SA, Real Gold FA, Olatunji FC, Young Antlers FC, Bashmed FA and The Global Legend Sport.
Others are: Adigun FC, Ogidi Boys, Sakele Emirate FC, Amugold FC, Focus FC, Limited FC, Shadow Rangers and KAAH FC.
