Social commentator VeryDarkMan takes a bold stance, accusing EFCC Chairman Olukoyede of incompetence. Explore the controversy and its implications.
On Monday, social media commentator Martins Ortse, known as VeryDarkMan, criticized the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, labeling him as “incompetent.”
VeryDarkMan pointed to Olukoyede’s failure to apprehend former Kogi State governor Yahaya Bello, who has been on the EFCC’s wanted list since April, as evidence of this incompetence.
The EFCC has charged Bello with alleged money laundering involving N80.2 billion during his tenure as governor, yet despite being declared wanted, he reportedly surrendered to the agency and was subsequently released.
In an Instagram post, VeryDarkMan expressed his disdain, stating that Olukoyede embodies incompetence and mediocrity, and criticized the EFCC for prioritizing the arrest of lesser offenders while neglecting significant fraud cases.
