Wike has hit back at Ugochinyere, calling him a political hustler amid ongoing political tensions.
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has asserted that Ikenga Ugochinyere, a member of the House of Representatives from the Ideato North and South Federal Constituency in Imo State, deserves imprisonment for impersonation.
Wike characterized Ugochinyere as a political opportunist catering to his benefactors from Rivers State.
This statement came in response to Ugochinyere’s criticism of Wike’s political conduct within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which he described as immature and trivial.
Wike’s remarks were conveyed through his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, who cautioned Ugochinyere against making baseless allegations.
Olayinka highlighted that Ugochinyere’s continued affiliation with the Action Peoples Party, despite being a PDP representative, raises questions about his integrity.
He further ridiculed Ugochinyere for his tendency to create organizations to support his political ambitions, suggesting that in more accountable societies, such behavior would lead to legal consequences for impersonation.
