France defender, Ibrahima Konate, has said the team does not miss their captain, Kylian Mbappe.
He believes they are doing great in absence of the Real Madrid superstar.
France are set to do battle with Italy for the top spot in their UEFA Nations League group on Sunday, November 17.
Both sides have already sealed qualification for the quarterfinals of the UEFA Nations League.
Mbappe have been left out of the French side for a second consecutive international window.
Liverpool’s Konate pointed out in his press conference that in spite of Mbappe’s importance, they can still win.
He said (via Football Italia): “Obviously France can succeed without Mbappé. We can never forget all he has done, but it’s hardly as if we cannot win in his absence.”
Deschamps’ side were without Kylian Mbappe when they faced Belgium and Israel in October and won both games, scoring six goals in the process.
