President Bola Tinubu has appointed Daniel Bwala as his Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications at the State House, as announced in a statement by Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.
Bwala, who previously worked as an aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and supported Atiku during the 2023 presidential election, which Tinubu won, has since shifted his political support to Tinubu, a decision that has sparked significant discussion.
Additionally, Onanuga confirmed the appointments of three individuals to lead various government agencies.
Mr. Olawale Olopade has been appointed as the Director-General of the National Sports Commission, bringing his experience as a former Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Ogun State and chair of the organizing committee for the 2024 National Sports Festival.
Dr. Abisoye Fagade has been named Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, leveraging his expertise in marketing communications as the founder of Sodium Brand Solutions.
Dr. Adebowale Adedokun will serve as the Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement, having previously held the position of Director of Research, Training, and Strategic Planning at the bureau.
