A recent video on Facebook, renowned Nigerian preacher and founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has made a bold statement about the culture of giving in his church, emphasizing that generosity is a cornerstone of their faith. Speaking during a recent sermon, the pastor reiterated the importance of giving, drawing parallels to biblical examples and the character of God.
Known for his fiery preaching and strong stance on Christian principles, Pastor Ibiyeomie stressed that stinginess has no place in the lives of believers. He called on members to embrace generosity as a reflection of their faith and relationship with God. “Stingy people are not supposed to be here. If you are stingy, don’t stay in our church,” he added.
According to him, “This ministry is a giving church. If you are not a giver you are not supposed to be in this church. This is because we give. Jesus gave and God gave. I, your pastor is also a giver. So tell me who you will look like if you are stingy? Stingy people are are not supposed to be here. If you are stingy don’t stay in our church.”
