The South-South Initiative for Better Nigeria has expressed its response to the recent appointments made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu within the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).
In a statement issued by National Coordinator Jack Akpvwoghene and Programs Manager Ebitare Wellington, the organization emphasized that these appointments reflect Tinubu’s commitment to enhancing the company’s operational efficiency and strengthening its competitive position in the global oil and gas sector.
The statement further highlighted that these appointments signify a dedication to elevating Nigeria’s oil and gas industry to meet international standards, thereby maximizing the country’s potential in this field.
The group expressed optimism regarding the new appointees’ ability to implement impactful policies and programs that will advance the sector.
Additionally, it noted the appointments of Mr. Isiyaku Abdullahi as Executive Vice President, Downstream, Mr. Udobong Ntia as Executive Vice President, Upstream, and Mr. Adedapo A. Segun as Chief Financial Officer.
