The Senate has officially confirmed the appointment of Bridget Omolola Oloworaran as the Director General of the National Pension Commission (PENCOM).
The confirmation followed a report from Cyril Fasuyi Oluwole, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Establishment and Public Service, who stated that Oloworaran had been thoroughly screened and was well-qualified for the role. He also noted that there were no objections or petitions against her nomination.
Oloworaran, who hails from Kogi West Senatorial District, was praised for her professional competence by Senators Sunday Karimi (APC, Kogi West) and Jibrin Isah Echocho (Kogi East).
After a voice vote led by Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, Oloworaranâs appointment was confirmed. Barau commended the Committee for its diligent screening and expressed confidence in her ability to lead and improve the agency.
