Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has issued a stern warning to Nigerians, urging the nation to pray against the possible resurgence of the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in several states, including Lagos, Oyo, Bauchi, and Benue. His warning came on Tuesday through a statement released by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin.
According to reports from DAILY POST, the renowned prophet called for heightened vigilance and prayerful preparation ahead of 2025, highlighting the potential threat of the Ebola virus spreading across the country once again. He stressed the importance of proactive prayers to prevent a widespread outbreak, particularly in the aforementioned states. Primate Ayodele stated, “Ahead of 2025, Nigeria needs to pray against the re-emergence of the Ebola Virus and its spread in various states. It will be more serious in Lagos, Oyo, Bauchi, and Benue. We need to pray so that it won’t be too much.”
Primate Ayodele’s caution follows concerns about the vulnerability of the country’s health infrastructure and the potential challenges posed by new or re-emerging diseases. According to Primate Ayodele, there is a looming threat of widespread cases of hypertension and diabetes in the coming years, with 2025 being a critical period. “Other health issues like hypertension and diabetes will be on a high scale in 2025. Nigerians need to be careful, pray, and take necessary precautions to avoid being victims,” he advised.
