Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, has instructed contractors responsible for the repair of damaged roads in Benin City to return to work.
According to OBASANJONEWS, Okpebholo outlined his five-point agenda during his inaugural address, which encompasses Security, Infrastructure and Road Development, Affordable Healthcare, Water and Food Sufficiency, and Value-Driven Education, all aimed at fostering economic growth and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
During an inspection of the Upper Mission Extension Road near Aduwawa junction and the Ramat Park area, he emphasized his commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu and expressed urgency in addressing the road conditions.
He stated that his administration is dedicated to fulfilling campaign promises, highlighting the necessity of immediate action during the dry season to repair and construct roads.
Okpebholo reassured the public that improvements would be made swiftly, emphasizing that the people of Edo deserve well-maintained roads.
He identified specific areas, including the 7.5km Temboga Road and Lucky Way Junction, where work will commence promptly, and confirmed that contractors would also be mobilized for Eyaen Road and Obadan Junction along the Benin-Auchi Expressway.
The governor reiterated his commitment to a government focused on the needs of the people.
