The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps, popularly known as So-Safe Corps, has arrested two young individuals, Abdullahi Idowu, an 18-year-old ex-convict, and Samson Ojo, 17, for theft. The duo was caught stealing parts of a generator engine in the Idiroko border area, Ipokia Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The arrest was confirmed by So-Safe Corps Commander Soji Ganzallo, who disclosed that the suspects were apprehended following intelligence reports and surveillance. According to reports, the suspects targeted valuable engine parts and planned to sell them for quick cash.
Commander Ganzallo commended the timely intervention of his team, which prevented the stolen items from being sold or used for other illicit purposes. The suspects have since been handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.
The So-Safe Corps reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of communities across Ogun State. Residents are encouraged to report suspicious activities promptly to the authorities to maintain law and order.
