President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has replied Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president on his assertion that he would have handled the country’s economic differently if he were president.
The former vice president made the remark in a statement he shared on his X handle on Sunday.
For instance, the former number two citizen said he would have consulted critical stakeholders in the country before taking action on the fuel subsidy issue and other policies that have been adopted by the Tinubu’s administration.
Replying, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said on Sunday the president had no time to waste, as the country was already “on life support” when Tinubu became president.
The situation that the country found itself at the time, he explained needed immediate and decisive action, and Tinubu did not shy away from acting fast to save the situation.
Onanuga in a statement he shared on X today also accused Abubaka of beefing the president because he lost the election, saying the PDP candidate is only angry because Nigerians rejected him at the polls.
