Hungary coach Adam Szalai has posted a brief but positive message on social media after collapsing during his side’s Nations League defeat to the Netherlands on Saturday.
The Group A3 tie in Amsterdam was halted for more than 10 minutes early in the game after Szalai took ill.
A medical tent was erected around the dugout before the 36-year-old was taken to hospital in an ambulance.
The match officials later continued the game as the Netherlands defeated Hungary 4-0.
Providing an update on his condition, the former footballer posted a positive message on Facebook: “Thanks for the lots of messages; I’m doing well.”
Meanwhile, the Hungarian Football Federation said in a statement on Saturday night that Szalai was “stable and he is conscious.”
