…….Over Nonpayment of One-Year Stipends by Govt
-N-Power beneficiaries across Nigeria will hold nationwide protests from December 2 to December 6, 2024, over the non-payment of their one-year stipends for the period between October 2022 and September 2023.
-The beneficiaries, led by National President Muhammad Habibu Abubakar, claim they were actively engaged and their services utilized before the programme’s suspension by the government.
-Despite repeated attempts to address the issue, the Nigerian government has not responded, prompting the beneficiaries to seek action through protests and a petition by human rights lawyer Barrister Deji Adeyanju.
