Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has announced the suspension of Dr. Moses Ekuma, the state Commissioner for Health, along with Francis Ori, the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development.
This decision was revealed during the weekly Executive Council meeting on Monday at the New Government House in Abakaliki.
A statement from Jude Okpor, the Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, indicated that the suspensions were due to serious misconduct and neglect of responsibilities by certain government officials.
Governor Nwifuru’s actions follow a recent visit to the health ministry, where six officials were reportedly found attempting to misappropriate government resources.
