Sham’unu Ishaq, a distinguished graduate from Umaru Musa Yar’Adua University in Katsina State, has resorted to selling sachet water on the streets to sustain himself, as he has been unable to find employment since his graduation on July 5, 2023.
In a video shared online, Ishaq detailed his hardships, noting that despite graduating with honors in Bachelor of Science in Education, Biology, he remains jobless, compelling him to engage in street hawking for survival.
Ishaq expressed his frustration, stating that his daily earnings from selling sachet water are insufficient to cover his basic needs.
He displayed his academic results in the video, revealing that the income from his current venture barely allows him to eat, let alone save.
He made a heartfelt appeal to Katsina State Governor Dikko Umar Radda, emphasizing the dire consequences of his financial struggles and the challenges of supporting his family without a stable income.
Ishaq called for assistance from all Nigerians, regardless of their region, and reiterated his willingness to undertake any job to improve his situation.
