-Abdulkadir Shatta, a farmer in Shatta village, Bosso Local Government Area, Niger State, reported the destruction of his 2-hectare beans farm by cattle owned by armed herdsmen.
-The invasion by cattle destroyed about 80% of Shatta’s beans crop, causing significant financial and emotional damage.
-Shatta had invested time, money, and effort into cultivating the beans, expecting to harvest 10 to 15 bags, each worth N400,000.
-The destruction was attributed to cattle likely belonging to the local Fulani herdsmen community, who reside in the area with their livestock.
-The invasion has escalated tensions in the community, with the herdsmen becoming more emboldened in their attacks.
