Nollywood actress Doris Simeon has shared her heart-wrenching experience of being dissociated from her son due to a challenging custody battle with her ex-husband, Daniel Ademinokan.
During an emotional interview with Biola Bayo on “Talk to B,” Doris discussed the immense pain of being denied the opportunity to mother her child.
Even though she acknowledged her faults, she emphasized that the separation from her son has been the most tedious part.
Doris recounted how Daniel took their then 4-year-old son to the US without her consent, making communication increasingly difficult. She shared that her last memory of caring for her son was when he was just 3 years old.
She expressed frustration and depression due to the separation but chose to remain strong for her family. Doris attended a movie premiere where someone reminded her of her son’s absence, leading to a court battle.
Doris’s story highlights the emotional toll of custody battles and the importance of prioritizing children’s well-being during separation.
