The Head of Civil Service in Bauchi State, Yahuza Haruna Adamu, has issued a stern warning to civil servants participating in promotion examinations regarding the state’s strict stance against malpractice.
During the sensitization workshop for the 2024 Batch βA and Bβ promotion exams, he emphasized the importance of ethical conduct and assured that his office would enforce rigorous oversight to uphold examination integrity.
Reports indicate that approximately 2,800 civil servants are involved in these promotion exams, and Adamu highlighted that disciplinary actions have already been taken against individuals found cheating in previous assessments.
He characterized the examination process as vital for maintaining a dynamic and responsive civil service that meets the needs of the citizens of Bauchi.
The workshop aims to provide civil servants with essential skills and knowledge to succeed in their exams.
Adamu also congratulated recent high achievers who attained an impressive 85% success rate, encouraging current candidates to strive for even greater accomplishments.
He reminded them that their successes reflect a collective commitment to public service and urged them to remain focused and diligent.
Additionally, Abubakar Usman, the state Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, praised Governor Bala Mohammed for his unwavering support of the civil service, noting its longstanding reputation as one of the best in the country.
